Soaking in the spirit of giving, DYPIS, Worli celebrated ‘The Joy of Giving Week’
The EYP Learners were given a choice board from which they chose and performed various activities like feeding the birds, baking cakes, or making sandwiches for the ancillary staff of the buildings where they reside, laying the dinner table, and watering the plants.
Grade 1 & 2 learners invested their time, energy, talents, and skills to make interesting and engaging manipulatives for the orphans at St. Catherine’s School of Siena, Bandra. Learners from Grade 3 to 5 were in school to help their teachers pack and label the gift boxes
Grades 6 and 8 organised a virtual program for the senior citizens of an old age home to spend some quality time with them. Grades 9 and 10 recorded lovely audio books which were sent across to the visually impaired people of Mata Laxmi Hospital Center for Blind – Sion. They organized a blood donation drive in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital on the 5th of October where grades 11 and 12 enthusiastically assisted the hospital staff in the registration process. Some students from grade 11 and a few teachers accompanied the ground and auxiliary staff of our school in an open bus ride of ‘Mumbai Darshan’ on 6th October.
