Dr D Y Patil, a Padmashree recipient, and former Governor of the Indian States of Bihar, Tripura and West Bengal is the founder of the D Y Patil Group. In the realm of education and healthcare in the state of Maharashtra, one name stands out like a shining beacon, that of Dr D Y Patil. His vision, dedication and passion have been indelibly influenced, by his wisdom and generosity and have left several benchmarks, be it in the schools for imparting basic education or institutes for higher learning.

The Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology in Navi Mumbai, established two decades ago and the Krish Vigyan Kendra in Kohlapur bear a testimony to his chosen causes. Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil has a Master’s Degree from Richmond College, U.K. and specialization in Marketing from the London School of Economics. He lives a dream of turning the state into a centre of world-class learning and education.

D Y Patil Knowledge City, Pune and the D Y Patil International Schools have been planned under his leadership. He has been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Central Lancanshire, United Kingdom.

He is also the force behind providing international linkages to the various institutions of the group.

Ms. Pooja Patil is a force behind the Ajeenkya DY Patil Group. An exemplification of poise and grace, her down-to-earth persona endears her to everyone. Her unique insights have remarkably contributed to the growth and expansion of the group.

She firmly believes that education has the power to bring about a positive change in the society, one person at a time. Being focussed on the foundation of this belief, she takes special interest in the school education vertical of the group leading it from the front. She continues to focus on creating learning opportunities that encourage kindness, compassion, contentment and co-existence.

A true altruist, she is an active participant in shaping the social, cultural and academic landscape. With her detail-oriented acumen, she continues to inspire progress for the group.

Mr. Vijay D. Patil

An educational institute to be truly world-class has to be solid and state-of-the-art when it comes to infrastructure. The person responsible for making this happen is Mr. Vijay D. Patil.

Mr. Patil possesses the right qualification (Bachelor’s in Engineering and an M.B.A. from the Bond university, Australia) and the organizational capability for managing the infrastructure needs of a group of this magnitude.

A pointer towards his skills is the establishment of the state of art stadium at Nerul with all kinds of facilities international cricket demands.

Ms. Ish Patil

Ms. Ish Patil is a young entrepreneur and artist with a diverse background in business management, education, healthcare, and hospitality. After completing her schooling at Dhirubhai International School Mumbai and her International Baccalaureate from Aiglon College in Switzerland, Ish graduated from the Parsons School of Design New York. She launched her career by founding the fashion brand, Back In Bombay, amidst the global pandemic, honing her skills across product design and marketing strategies.

As a fourth-generation member of the legacy business, the D Y Patil Group, Ish started participating in its operations in education, healthcare, and student housing, enhancing her expertise in educational management and strategic operations. In addition to her involvement in the family business, Ish has founded and managed entrepreneurial ventures in the fashion and hospitality sectors. These initiatives emphasize creativity and customer satisfaction, reflecting her broad managerial acumen.
