Our IBCP students participated in an enlightening industrial engagement visit to Reliance Retail at Jio World Drive on 7th March 2025. This visit offered a unique opportunity to explore the strategies that have contributed to the establishment of the prominent Reliance Retail brand.

The visit began with a comprehensive conference guided by Mr. Arif, the Operational Manager at Reliance. He provided valuable insights into the latest trends and operations in the luxury retail business in India. His extensive knowledge and experience shed light on the complexities involved in managing a successful retail brand like Reliance.

During the visit, students had the chance to explore several exclusive stores, including the premium home furnishing retailer, West Elm. They gained firsthand experience in visual marketing and customer retention strategies that cater to premium customers. Observing West Elm’s approach allowed the students to understand how visual merchandising and strategic customer engagement can effectively attract and retain high-end customers.

To acknowledge their participation, students received certificates for attending the conference. This not only added to their academic credentials but also served as a source of motivation to further explore the retail industry’s diverse aspects.
In addition, our students had the opportunity to collaborate and network with IBCP students from other schools. This collaboration enriched their experience, allowing them to exchange ideas and insights, thereby building a robust network of future industry professionals.

This visit to Reliance Retail was more than just an educational trip; it was a unique experience that allowed our students to witness the synergy between theoretical knowledge and practical retail operations. It emphasized the significance of strategic branding, innovative marketing, and customer-centric approaches in building a successful retail business.

Such engagements underscore our commitment to providing students with opportunities to learn directly from industry leaders and gain practical knowledge that will benefit them in their future careers.
