DYPIS Worli with tremendous excitement celebrated Janmasthami
An awareness of Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, and songs were presented to the learners of Early Years. They enjoyed decorating a pot and filling it with goodies for Lord Krishna.
PYP Section started with a video showcasing the importance of the festival and the reason for it being celebrated. Students from each grade carried out a range of activities like crafting Lord Krishna’s ‘Mukut’ with the Peacock feather, painting Bal Krishna’s ‘Matki’, making Krishna’s flute, and decorating it, and finally preparing his favourite ladoos.
The icing on the cake was to watch the students dressed up in the attire of Shri Krishna.
DYPIS encourages students to take part in multicultural events to foster open-mindedness and teach them to appreciate different cultures, traditions, and religions.
