Makeup and Grooming Activity for secondary school students
This activity is led by grooming consultant, Ms. Shivani Sheth. Shivani is a protégé of legendary makeup guru Cory Walia. She is a trained Cosmetologist from Christine Valmy School of Esthetics and has been working in this industry for over 10 years. She has worked extensively with celebrity clients, for Fashion Weeks as well as for Miss India pageants. Her work has even graced the pages of Vogue, Elle and various other fashion magazines.
Her client roster boasts of renowned individuals from the film and fashion verticals such as Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes, Raveena Tandon, Asin to name a few.
Her course curriculum consists of separate modules on makeup, skin care, hair care, health and nutrition and personal styling.
Engineering and Design Club
The aim of this secondary school activity is to inspire learners to fuse the beauty of design and principles of engineering in creating objects of utilitarian or educational value. Taking simple materials like wood, carton, breadboards, plastic, foam and cloth, learners will creatively plan and design real life furniture, small robots and working models.
This activity is led by ace Indian shooter Ronak Pandit and students go to the Shooting Range (near Worli Sea Link) for this activity (once a week) Ronak Pandit was a gold medalist and Record Holder at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and a Silver Medalist at the 2006 Asian Games. He also holds the distinction of being the South Asian Games Champion.
Young Filmmaker Program
This program equips our middle and secondary school students to use the most powerful communication tool i.e. the audio-visual media to educate, inform, entertain, network, operate & communicate. Film Production engages children in multiple skills; to create a thought, structure an idea, prepare a plan, visualise, reason, budget, problem-solve, work in a team & manage time. The course covers all the basics of film making – Cinematography, Screenplay, creating a storyboard, editing, graphics and VFX, Choreography, Voice over recording etc.
This program combines the power of software & hardware technology with Traditional art skills in training students on creating digital paintings. This activity introduces students to handling of digital tools of art creation at an early stage of education. Students use a special tablet for the same (WACOM)
This new activity offered to our middle school students from this year (2015-16), is led by Ms. Diksha Mukhi. Diksha is a connoisseur and an avid foodie who has a passion for all things edible & palatable. For her, the terms ‘food and health’ are synonymous, hence her obsession with cooking and baking.
She has extensive experience in this field and has honed her culinary skills by learning under gourmet experts like La Patisserie, Pooja Dhingre and Shikha Murarka. She has been regularly conducting cooking workshops for children.
This activity will have students learning different things from cupcakes and cake pops to tarts and salads to Momos and Sandwiches and muffins and chocolates.
