The students of Grade One have been looking at different ways of expressing themselves and being able to communicate using sounds and noise instead of words, in their drama class. They used their imagination, creativity and thinking skills in order to discover new sounds and then using their co-operation skills, worked together in groups in order to devise and then present a play, using only these new sounds.
Working together they were able to share their ideas and were very enthusiastic in their performances, which their peers appreciated and enjoyed.
They then reflected on the knowledge they had gained and independently completed a reflection sheet, sharing what they had enjoyed about the play and considered what they could do in the future.
Students of Grade 1 enhanced their Language skills through a fun
game, 'Stop that sentence', wherein few incomplete sentence cut

complete each sentence using different punctuation marks like a
question mark, a period or an exclamation mark. Each student was
given a chance to stop one sentence by making the correct end mark
using a marker. It was indeed a fun way to reinforce the concept of
punctuations which helped the students to use their application skills
by making use of previously acquired knowledge in a new way.
